We'll be having back-to-back infolaw reading group sessions to compensate
for Thanksgiving. So, after we've all enjoyed meeting this week at Brooklyn
Law, we'll meet again next week at NYU where the topic of discussion will be
the FCC's proposed Network Neutrality rules.
When: Wednesday, November 18 at 7:00 pm
Where: NYU Law Furman Hall, Room 316
Readings:
Network Neutrality NOPR (Executive Summary only)
http://hraunfoss.fcc.gov/edocs_public/attachmatch/FCC-09-93A1.pdf
General Background on the FCC (c/o Wikipedia) (focus on Mission,
Strategy, and History)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Communications_Commission
FCC's Comcast Management Practices Order
http://hraunfoss.fcc.gov/edocs_public/attachmatch/FCC-08-183A1.pdf
Comcast Complaint to the D.C. Circuit

Finally, as part of this discussion, it's been suggested that we consider
drafting a comment to submit to the FCC on their proposed rules. I encourage
you all to bring ideas about how we might go about doing this, if we can
come to a consensus on what we would like to say.
Thanks. Please RSVP to me (david.wake at nyu.edu) if you are thinking about
coming so I can plan an approximate food order.
