Just a reminder that Reading Group is at NYU tonight! In lieu of other
background materials, the Wikipedia page on the NSA Warrantless Surveillance

provides some useful background--albeit rather repetitive and frequently
incoherent.

For the next installment of the mighty Reading Group, we'll be reading that
paragon of Fourth Amendment decisionmaking, *In re Directives*, which you

try to send out a set of background sources and comments on the opinion
before the RG; in the meantime you should bone up on the Patriot Act and the
